Opening day at Del Mar State Fair, a Padres game, the beach, an open air concert… Summer is short even for us San Diegans and there is so much to cram in before Summer is over! We love our Summers! We need the sun! Now stand back and look around, the Jacaranda tree is still in bloom. The sweet, scented jasmine fills the air. The unappreciated sunflower sways gently facing the sun –all needing the Summer sun as well! Enjoy your Summer, but remember, like the plants and flowers need the sun, we need the Son. Make time for Him. On these lazy-dazy dog days of Summer, remember who made this, who loves us, who died for us –the Son, our Lord God. Make this week, “the God days of Summer”.
