Catholic Men and Boys: Join the “Into the Breach” Video Series – A Study & Challenge Program

Do you enjoy a challenge? I bet you do.

Join the Knights of Columbus on Thursday, Oct. 1 at St. Joseph Cathedral for the first of a 12-part video series exploring Bishop Thomas Olmsted’s exhortation, “Into the Breach.”  From 7-8:30 p.m., we will together explore what it means to be an authentic Catholic man not only in an age where masculinity is under attack, but in a world that needs your masculinity more than ever.

This monthly program from Knights Council 1349, to be held every first Thursday into September 2021, will include a 12-part video series  on the exhortation (one episode per month), a study guide on the exhortation text, and real quarterly challenges to every participating man and boy, encouraging you to be the true and unafraid Catholic gentlemen our society and our families need.

Quarterly challenge days will focus on principles explored during the previous quarter’s videos and study guide material, and will give participants a chance to set related goals for themselves to accomplish in the next month, to discuss successes and shortfalls, and to learn from each other how to grow from them. These quarterly challenge days will be Dec. 3, March 4, June 3 and Sept. 2 (the program’s end date).

The first two sessions (Oct. 1 and Nov. 5) are scheduled for St. Joseph Cathedral. Participants will be advised if the remaining sessions will remain there, or if they will rotate among a few local parishes within the Council’s area. For precautionary purposes, the sessions are tentatively planned to be outdoors in the Cathedral Courtyard with social distancing, but a switch to indoors could occur should improving Covid-19 conditions warrant it.
